What's good everybody, been a minute since I been around here but I'm coming through with the announcement of a little project that's almost ready to go.
I'm coming out with a mixtape, under The Contender and it has remixes of other beats on there (obviously) but it also has a set of original tracks with Steady (Clockwork's Producer) on the boards.
Straight up, this is pretty much a very rough work compared to what I'm sure a lot of other artists is putting since we ain't necessarily got great equipment or experience (we only 16)
Nonetheless we asking ya'll drop onto the myspace where you can listen to a set of clips from the entire tape. It'd be great if ya'll could give ya'lls honest opinion. Constructive criticsm (no need for full on hate..though I can take the usual "Go read some..step ya rhymes up") or over all just encouragement.
This here is the cover, done by yours truly:
Also on the cover is the tracklisting so you guys can figure out what clip you're listening to since it's all done in order (Figure out what Steady's produced etc. he's just as interested as I am to hear your opinion on his work)
Now here's a couple of things you guys might find interesting and to give you an idea of where we're at wit our work:
Joey Breeze - Rhyming seriously for less than 1 year and a half - 16 (Obviously haha) - Venezuelan born (Lived in Florida where I did most of my growing up where I picked up the flow and swagger so expect a bit of a southern drawl sometimes. It ain't fake, it just rolls though because that's where I learned english) - Doesn't write down any rhymes (All mental) - Writes own rhymes (Some people don't believe me)
Steady - Been beatmaking and producing for 8 months - 16 - Albanian born, canadian raised - Originally did techno music until coaxed into hip hop beat making by Breeze
Alright So I hope ya'll got the time to just drop a line or anything.
By the way once the mixtape is printed and packaged it will be given out for FREE so if you want to support a couple of young dudes getting a start in the game, get at me. We'll find a way to get you a copy. We're just trying to get everybody's support. London has to pull together and support each other so that everybody else can pay attention to us. Give love within our own city.
